Too Fast

Madison is growing up just way too fast!! Yesterday and today she has been doing this...

Kneeling...

...and then...

STANDING!!!

I can't even believe it! She is only 6 months old. I didn't think they were supposed to be doing this for a while still. I am pretty sure we are in for some adventures with this little girl.

She has also been eating really well!! She finally loves the peas so we will be starting some other foods now. I just made sweet potato and carrots so we will see how those go.

Proof is in the smile...she loves the peas!

And once again...can time please slow down!? I am so not ready for Madison to be up standing. This just means she will be walking WAY before I am prepared!

Brayden Says...

Brayden: "Mommy, I'm a king!"

Me: "Oh really? That's awesome. What is Daddy?"

Brayden: "Um...he's a king too!"

Me: "That's wonderful! So what am I?"

Brayden: "You're a queen."

Me: "Oh wow! I love being a queen. So what is Maddie?"

Brayden: thinks for a moment..."She's a dinosaur!!"

Then later as I was having Brayden tell my dad about our conversation, my dad asked Brayden why Madison is a dinosaur. His answer? Because she is an animal. Oh, of course. Duh!

Yeah...I didn't know I gave birth to a dinosaur. Crazy kid!

Madison at 6 Months!

These six months have totally flown by! I can't believe that she is going to be ONE in just six more months. I am not sure how time can go so quickly but I would please like someone to find a way to slow it down!

Can't these precious feet stay little forever?!?

She got herself sitting up all the way but then got stuck trying to reach her toy!

She has two of her own toys right next to her and yet she wants her brother's lego!

Love the drool coming off her chin!

Madison is doing great!! She is hitting all of her milestones and has become quite the little ham. She is crawling ALL OVER THE PLACE!! This girl never stops. And she is always after the things she can't have...like cords or her brother's favorite toys. Also, not only has she started to climb over things but she is finding things she can climb over. She's always on the hunt for something to climb! I think she is going to be a little monkey when she's a little older!

Likes:
-baths
-being held
-boobs (just mine I guess)
-her Daddy...totally her favorite person!
-crawling
-her brother...her other favorite person
-bouncing
-climbing
-standing (with help of course)
-peek-a-boo
-her brother's toys
-chewing on anything
-grabbing hair
-being in the Ergo

Dislikes:
-the car still sometimes
-not being able to get the toy she wants (she gets mad when she is chasing after a ball all over the house and she just keeps rolling it away...then she yells at it!)
-she's still pretty unsure about rice cereal...see photos below

She tried rice cereal for the first time a couple of days ago and she wasn't quite sure what to think about it. I remember moving on from rice cereal pretty quickly with Brayden so I am anxious to see how she reacts to other foods when she tries them. This is how she feels about rice cereal:

HAHAHA!!!

As you can see, day two of rice cereal was better!

In the picture below, you can see that she has her two bottom teeth as of right now. She is constantly chewing on something so I think we will be seeing more teeth in the near future. For right now, I just love the gummy smiles!!

She loves her Auntie!
She even tried to get into Auntie's suitcase to go home with her! Silly girl.

We go to the doctor tomorrow for her 6 month wellness check and to get her shots so I won't know her weight until then. However, I do know that she is pretty tiny still. She is wearing 3 month clothing and a few 3-6 months stuff but all the other 6 months stuff is SWIMMING on her. She's just a little girl. Maybe she will fatten up now that we are starting solids. We will just have to wait and see.

**UPDATE: Madison weighed 15 pounds and was 26 inches long at her 6 month wellness check. That puts her in the 25th percentile for weight and 50th percentile for height. I knew she was little!
